Another Edinburgh Farmer’s Market!
Spring is in the air and the Farmer’s Markets are now bustling. Set up below the majestic Edinburgh Castle, the Edinburgh Farmer’s Market (not the Stockbridge one I blogged about previously) located at Castle Terrace occurs regularly on Saturday from 9 AM to 2 PM.
I hopped on the bus and got there quickly in the early afternoon and spent an enjoyable half an hour walking through the market. It wasn’t very big, but hopefully as the spring turns into summer it will be more robust with more vendors and produce on offer.
Compared to the Stockbridge Market this one had more produce on offer and more traditional food stalls. It also wasn’t nearly as busy or as tightly packed.
There was a nice sprawl in a lovely area with views of the castle in the background. Lots of parking for those who need it and I’m eager to return to get a shopping bag full of fresh Scottish produce 🙂
